I listened to IHTA at work and it sounded pretty good. Nice work on the vocals!
I'll listen to the other one when I get home and let ya know what I think.

I listened to I had ot ask, as well. I thought it was very good. Your voice sounds even better on this than on your previously posted covers. Nice quality too.
I'll play it first and tell you what it is later.

Listened to "I Had to Ask." Pretty good, man. Keep cultivating your talent because I think you have something. However, I think this song lacks cohesiveness. Some words run too close together and it's hard to pick up on a steady melody. The falsetto around 2:21 was great. Rhythm was good as was quality. I think this song would sound great with a band and a little more work - adjusting some lyrics (which are good, btw) to stay in a steady melody, and staying more in your vocal range. I don't mean to sound too bitchy because I enjoyed it. Keep working with it. It just doesn't seem complete to me. A lot of potential, though.

Be excellent to one another.

I had the opportunity to listen to both of them. spent was probably my favorite although I loved it when you hit the high notes on I had to ask. the guitar on both of them sounds pretty solid to me. I had to ask almost sounds like a hymn to me and spent, well spent has some really nice lyrics, touching.
