I absolutely love mikey, although he died of cancer last august(rest in peace) his music lives on and his impact is always there, he rips it up, far better than 99.9 percent of people could hope too, check out some panic board checkers, you may be surprised, they rip it up, my 2nd fav to dave, they tear shit up, at their live shows, its the true definition of a SHOW, panic throws it down, check it out sometime people

Dude I totally agree. My sister goes to college at UT and she got into Panic up there. She introduced me to them. Whats so great is how Panic really hasn't done anything new. They just kinda reawakened an entire culture that was supposedly lost with the Greatful Dead. I'll be honest, I'm not too up on this George guy guitar player. Mikey was my inspiration as a guitarist when I was mainly an electric player. I can remember the day Mikey died it was one of the saddest days ever. At the time I was listening to their album "Don't tell the Band" The solo in "Little Lilly" still brings tears to my eyes to this day. I remember my sis was in from college when Mikey died and we just worked our way driving from one side of the county to the other and back again pouring over her massive live cd collection of Panic. We both just sat in silence with the music and cried. Anyone who isn't familiar with the works of this great man and his great band I would suggest you pick up one of their albums immediately.

man, i remember the day mike died, august 10 last summer. I was crushed, i just saw him a little over a month before at red rocks on june 28, 29, and 30---which was his last big show i think, he played one more indoor show in Iows(which was his last), but, Red Rocks was the signature farewell. I was in horrible spirits for days after aug 10, still am in a way. Panic put a definition on the southern culture, and show why the south knows how to party the best. Their shows are amazing! Just great music, and every person dancing. Crazy shit. Props to panic. Later.
