play the record and listen carefully to the rhythm. The verse is in 5, to it is a bit tricky. i found the listener supported version a tad better because you can hear the guitar more clearly.

That sounds interesting. You're talking about doing that on the verse right? I'm at work so I can't try it until I get home. The intro/riff sounds OK solo, but the verse needs something. Are you doing anything different on the "I think the world of you" part?Ranting Thespian wrote:instead of playing just the two strings, play the chords, G-C-F-C, and instead of muting right away, open the strings, let them ring, and then slap you hand on in a semi palm mute, and right to the next chord.

Nope, he's talking about for the chorus. The verse is full enough if you know how to play it right...johnnyd wrote:That sounds interesting. You're talking about doing that on the verse right? OK, so he's talking about the chorus beginning with "I think the world of you"? I'll try it his way. I play the verse pretty much the way DustyDave was in his video. Upstroke, muted strokes, upstroke mutes etc. I guess it would sound more full if I was singing with it.DMBFan63 wrote:Nope, he's talking about for the chorus. I'm sorry, honestly, if i confused anyone.. i thought that it was the chorus.. then it kind of became obvious since that takes up 85% of the song that it was the verseDMBFan63 wrote:My bad, i always thought that was the chorus1eyed_jack wrote:actually im pretty sure hes talking about the verse, considering the chord progression for the verse is GCFCDMBFan63 wrote:Nope, he's talking about for the chorus.
