Help with Say Goodbye

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Help with Say Goodbye

Unread post by Tamjim » Tue Apr 13, 2004 3:01 pm

Searched back a few pages and couldn't find anything so I'll start a new thread.

What is he doing at the end of Say Goodbye? The "just for tonight, one night, love yoooooouuuuuu...?

I can't make anything on Jared's tab sound right. Keep in mind as you read this that it is entirely possible that I suck, and all the info I need is actually right on the tab.

Cheers.

"Say Goodbye..."
E:------------------
B:---3-----3-----0-- <---3on2
G:---x-----2-----2--
D:---4-----x-----2-- <---2on2
A:---2-----x--------
E:-3-3-----2--------
2

hes just playing this part.. sometimes when i play it i replace that third chord with just a regular A, it sounds better in my opinion- he drags out that third chord longer than the first 2, just play along with a copy of it and you'll see

So the tab is right and I do, in fact, suck. At least I know it now.

Thanks for taking the time to help me out.

Also, he plays the 32403x as 32003x for a strum or two before he adds the four.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

Actualy, the origina song, Any Noise/Anti Noise, was just the last 3 chords on Say Goodbye.

I liked that song. I wish I had a good recording of it. :(
