not too shabby for the most part. you didnt' hesitate too much on the vocals which is good.

in the main riff on the guitar i think that you hold the last two bass notes on the E string too short. try holding them for a longer count, and maybe try sliding down from the last note back to the begining of the riff.

i think what i'm trying to say is that the second to last note should be held up to the point where you play the last note. there shouldn't be a rest there.

i noticed toward the end you aren't doing the slide anymore.
in order for the song to flow really well i think that that slide is imperative

not too shabby, but i think it needs a bit of work

sorry to be a bit negative, there were good aspects too, but i'm just trying to point out where to improve

hmm

song doesnt flow very well. Its a bit too busy. Lover lay down is so sweet because its a really simple, quiet song with not much goin on. Listen to L@LC to get what I mean. Try to remove some of the clutter.

the more i try and improve on this song...i've realized that playing it without a pick, helps me out a lot... it helps me keep a CLEAN tempo, which is something i have trouble with. ill post a new recording soon

You have to slide in between each one of those chords for it to flow correctly..(talking about the verse) Yours sounds choppy and doesn't flow like the song does. Work on it. If you need a sound clip of what I mean, give me a message on aim(button at bottom) and good luck with future recordings

make sure you check the tabs, (if you are trying to be accurate) doesnt sound so right at the end of the verse or the chorus.
here, i did a slow version for you, listen to the slides... hope it helps :D

Hey.. You should listen to a dave and tim version of the song. That lays it out pretty well. The slides are crucial to making that song sound smooth. The slides make the chords meld together, and thus making a smooth sounding verse.
Its like... getting two birds stoned at once. (Ricky-trailor park boys).
