Souna, get in to some 311. With your taste in music I really think you would like them. I think its just the type of stuff you're looking for. Their lead guitarist, Tim Mahoney, is pretty damn sweet. Better than Incubus' Mike Einziger in my opinion.
Here is a pretty decent site for 311 tabs:

Give the cd "Grassroots" a listen at least 5 times, all the way through. You will be addicted. It might take awhile, but you won't be able to stop listening to it.

True, 311 is the best. I used to live near Omaha, I grew up on them.
If you want to learn lead, start out with the song Sweet. Awesome chorus, simple solo. Then start advancing into things like Stealing Happy Hours (BEST SONG EVER WRITTEN, IMHO). Use of Time for finger tapping.
Omaha Stylee has a great riff to get your fingers warmed up before you play. I run through it on my acoustic to get my finger loose.
And BigSpeen, awesome logo. I have that hoodie.
Oh, and 311's Transistor CD (one of the greatest CD's ever put I out, I think) has a number of songs with amazing riffs. If you buy Transistor, be sure to get the Capricorn release (check the record label, make sure it DOES NOT say Volcano) so you can pick up the hidden intro. Awesome solo.

Stay with me, safe and ignorant.

Definitely 311, I'm a huge fan - their music will open you up to a certain style of electric guitar, with reggae-influenced rock stuff. It's awesome. I have to recommend the Beatles; you don't know music until you've really listened to them. I would probably check out their Sgt. Pepper and later on albums, 'cause they got a little more experimental and the music is much more interesting. But on the same note as 311, try some reggae stuff. It's often simple, but the style is difficult to master (at least for me). Check out Sublime for more reggae stuff to play.
