Anyone who has an RP100 or RP200...

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

do you have a good patch for Dave's electric guitar sound in Cry Freedom?

huh? patch?

Also, Dave didn't play electric. It would have been a distorted acoustic or timmy playing along and make it sound electric. Dave never used an actual electric himself on a studio album until Everyday.

Well, I did say electric sound, not that he played an electric. And I used the word patch because if you own one of these pedals, you will know what I mean.

Ok, I'm going to change this a little. What effects would have to be added to an acoustic guitar sound to make it sound like Cry Freedom?

Ok, I'm going to revive this thread because I really want to know this and no one has helped me at all yet. I just want to know what effects were added to either an electric guitar or acoustic/electric to make it sound like it does in the studio version of "Cry Freedom" and I believe a few others, perhaps "Too Much".

I'm going to continue to post in this thread until someone answers me, because I know that someone out there must know the answer. Keep in mind that I changed this so that you don't neccessarily have to have an RP100 or 200; I just want to know what effects are used. Please someone help.

I have an RP-300.

Why don't you just play around with the parameters until you find it yourself, you know since obviously no one is going to be able to help you.

Yeah, I have definitely tried it. I usually make my own patches on it anyway, but for some reason I just can't get this one to sound right at all.

this ain't no promise, but if i happen to actually plug into my rp-3 sometime(i'm all over the acoustic right now) i'll give it a try and let you know. rp 1-2-3's all suck ass in my opinion, probably why i haven't played it in over 2 months

Ok, cool. I like the RP's. I use mine with my electric (and will with my acoustic once I get one with pickups) and it's pretty good for the price and all the effects it can do at once.
