Cameras and DMB Live

Hey everyone. I was just wondering about taking cameras to DMB shows. I'm going to a show in Toronto in June and was wondering if they will give us a hard time getting in with the camera. Not some wee little camera but one that requires a carrying case. I took a regular size (wee little one) to the Montreal show I was at last year but none of the photos came out good. Have any of you had any trouble with getting in with a big camera? I really want to get some good pics this year. Any advice or anything would be appreciated. I heard that they are real sticklers in T.O for taking things into the grounds..does any one know if this is true?

It depends.. i believe the band doesn't care, but the venue has final say about it..

I would love nothing more than to bring my SLR camera and accompanying lenses with me. Photography is one of my BIGGEST hobbies. But I think in this day and age of terrorism awareness, and after that knife was thrown on stage a few years back, a lot of venues are going to be strict about cameras. Most of the venues I've been to here in Washington frisk you before you go in and cameras are not allowed. I've even seen them confiscate cameras that made it in, once they see the flash they come and get it. My advice is to just enjoy the show and leave your expensive camera at home.

hey, the knife thing wasnt a few years back. That was last summer. I was there. My concert. They arent coming back to Colorado. fucker

Was it that recent? Damn, time flies. Well, You can come to Washington to catch a show, they are playing three nights. Muu ha ha ha ha! :wink:

i doubt they will let you bring a camera in

honestly i wouldnt even risk it

but if you do let me know how it goes

i'm going to that show, so if i see you chillin outside bc you couldn't get in with the camera i'll say hi to you

my friend had a small camera at a dave and tim show in CT. the security gaurd took him into the back room, made him erase the pictures, and took his camera until the end of the show. so i don't know about a big camera. you might want to call the venue and ask.

i don't know the exact details but towards the end of a show some idiot threw a knife onto the stage and it stuck between where boyd and dave stand.

i don't think they ever caught the guy

i wanna bring a camera to DMB too, it says no cameras but tickets almost always say that, you could sneak one in if theres a girl going with you and theres a male security guard cuz they cant be frisked, its worked for me a few times :lol:

When I went to a show last year, they didn't frisk me or anything, they just asked me if I had anything in my pockets. So I should them my ID and tickets that were in my front pockets, and they asked me if I had anything in my back pockets and I told them no, and they said ok, and let us in. :-)

Hmmmm, very interesting point Kaitlyn. My girlfriend IS coming with me, (it's her camera)...that just might work.
