dave sounds like tim

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

dave sounds like tim

Unread post by Duffman » Wed Mar 31, 2004 3:41 pm

in the ants marching from lost acousitcs starting at 3:36, someone is in drop D. i am assuming it is tim. but someone is also playing high notes that sounds like tim also. and right after the drop d jam, it just continues but the high notes are definatly tim at this point. so they must have switched rhythm and lead rolls. anyway, its a pretty sweet jam.

Doubt dave took over lead for tim, id assume it was a loop or something if I follow you right, but im guessing it was all tim and dave kept up the rhythm

its not very fast or elabrate, so dave could do it. its just weird that tim does the bass for that part, then they switch. i'm trying to host the song on my school account, but the shitty network is down, i'll let you know when i get it up.

EDIT: you can download it here

I have the song and I just listened to it, all it sounds like he is doing is just strumming the D and G chord if hes doing anything different while timmys goin nuts, I dont think daves doing anything different or out of the ordinary, and hes surely not playing lead

Agreed, it's just Dave messing around with the D and G.
