Everybody always asks me how she's doing. Has she really lost her mind? I said "I couldn't tell you, I've lost mine."

there has to be some sort of method to practice though.. if i just go straight into it ill fail miserably... or at least thats what i bet will happen. lol

Well , sometimes practice can feel like a boring thing , but if its something that you really wanna learn , then you gotta spend some time learning it , i don't think there is anything that you can call a shortcut through it , because no matter what , you still need to learn your mind and hands how to work , and you can't learn that from reading it somewhere , thats up to you to take care of :) ....

Anyway if im wrong , which i doubt .. Let me know the shortcut lol

Hmmm i dunno , i take things as they come , but if i had to say something about that , i guess it would be , play the same song over and over again , that way you learn the song better and the speed in the song will eventually increase :)

frequency is better than duration. you are better off practicing one part of a song for 5-15 min. everyday than trying to pull the whole thing off once every two weeks. but do learn to play the whole song equally well at some point.

Hey Thanks, I never really considered myself a real solo type of guy, I always thought that was my weakest point. Most of the soloing is done on a mandolin, but the same things apply to guitar. I use alot of open strings, pull offs, and little things like that. Ussualy when I do a solo, i just go up and down the fretboard(on mainly two strings) and sometimes do a little quick bass run type of thing. The version you heard is actually the first time I tried to put mando to that song, so I guess it was beginners luck-

heres the link for the song, I think its labeled tripping billies?,
but im not sure
