Not sure if this topic was brought up before.
After seeing Dave & Friends (Live) I found myself not really missing any of the band members except for Carter. I think DMB emits a great vibe & play excellent together but I really enjoyed the Dave & Friends show (perhaps even more than a DMB show).
Maybe because I have been going on DMB tours for 9 years and just needed something new. Any older DMB fans feel the same?

I just cant get into D+Friends like I can DMB. D+Friends is nice but its just doesnt put out the same kind of energy as the normal band does. Sort of like D+T...I love listening to it and sometimes Ill go for a month with that being all I listen to but its more laid back and simply not as powerful to me. Just my opinion..
If your friend is already dead, and being eaten by vultures, I think it's okay to feed some bits of your friend to one of the vultures, to teach him to do some tricks. But ONLY if you're serious about adopting the vulture.
i love dave and friends. it was so much better than i had anticipated. i saw so much energy on the stage at one show in hartford where dave took off his guitar and danced around the perimeter of the stage. it was so amazing.
but if i were close enough to a very good DMB show, i think that the energy would even outweigh dave and friends.
its getting to the point where i know what to expect from a DMB show so much that it seems like its about to get to be not exciting, but the magic never ends. DMB, i think, is the best live thing i could see.
