upgrading warehouse tickets
upgrading warehouse tickets
a lot of people on these and other boards have been talking about how it woudl be nice to get the seat locations for confirmed shows before they go on sale thru ticketmaster so that we could know if we wanted to upgrade our tickets...what does this mean, and how would you do that...i figured if you got a ticket u didnt like u just buy a different one on Ticketmaster and sell ur warehouse one...anyone know whats up?

I didn't reply because I'm not 100% sure, but I thought I heard about some people who work for WH go around before a show and ask people in the shittier seats if they are WH members and if they say yes and prove it then the WH employee will give them better tix. Like I said, just what I heard, have no idea if its true

I've never seen it happen nor ever heard of that occuring.BigSpeen3436 wrote:I didn't reply because I'm not 100% sure, but I thought I heard about some people who work for WH go around before a show and ask people in the shittier seats if they are WH members and if they say yes and prove it then the WH employee will give them better tix. I wouldn't count on it even though it may be true.
Re: upgrading warehouse tickets
The reason people want to know the location of their warehouse seats early is so that they know if they should get up early on the "public on sale day" and try to buy better seats (then sell their crappy warehouse seats):bmblmoo5 wrote:a lot of people on these and other boards have been talking about how it woudl be nice to get the seat locations for confirmed shows before they go on sale thru ticketmaster so that we could know if we wanted to upgrade our tickets...what does this mean, and how would you do that...i figured if you got a ticket u didnt like u just buy a different one on Ticketmaster and sell ur warehouse one...anyone know whats up?
example #1: warehouse member gets tickets in last row of the venue...he/she is not happy...then calls ticketmaster on the morning of the "public on sale date" and purchases tickets in the third row...he/she is now happy...then sells last row warehouse tickets to some donkey with lawn seats...
example #2: warehouse member gets tickets in the second row center through the warehouse....he/she is very happy....on the public on sale date said warehouse member sleeps soundly while all of the other ass-hats wear out their computers and telephones trying to get good tickets...
I hope that clears it up for ya

(I'm almost 99% sure) his name is Bo (if I remember correctly), and he works for the warehouse, and he does upgrade seats and I know people that have been upgraded by him. He only does it to Warehouse members and he does it knida hush hush. It's been more difficult the past few years cause people know what he looks like and they pester him and follow him around.
Back when the Warehouse first started up, they did have meet and greets, seniority meant more and ticket upgrades were common place...but these days there are so many members it makes it harder to spread the perks around and make it "worth while" to be in the club.
The only reason I'm still in it is: 1) my seniority and 2) it's just one more way other than ticketmaster and the likes to get seats.
EDIT: And by waht "I" meant when I said I'd try to upgrade meant I was going to try the advance ticket master sales, then the regular public ticketmaster sales. I'm pretty sure that's what most mean too.

Starting yesterday (Wednesday) and ending tomorrow (Friday), ticketmaster has presale tickets going for those who got the email about it and the promotion password. It's kinda cheesey though, they said they were offering lawn and reserved, but even if you put "search for reserved seats only" it still comes up with GA lawn seats...so I'll wait till Saturday to get some more reserved seats....

I am a warehouse member and not an "avid" supporter of there ticketing; however i can say i have got my fair share of first 10 row tickets from the WH and they also do actively upgrade tickets at MANY venues. If you are in your seat appx 30-45 minutes before the show and are attractive (its usually young, attractive females), then they might upgrade your seats. No guarentees, but still kinda coolDropD-MB wrote:BigSpeen3436 wrote:Yeah from what I've heard its mostly in big arenas where there are a lot of nosebleeds, but who the fuck knows.DropD-MB wrote:I've never seen it happen nor ever heard of that occuring.BigSpeen3436 wrote:I didn't reply because I'm not 100% sure, but I thought I heard about some people who work for WH go around before a show and ask people in the shittier seats if they are WH members and if they say yes and prove it then the WH employee will give them better tix.
