Todd B Wells

Unread post by Jc » Thu Mar 25, 2004 3:52 pm

This is a local atlanta artist that I've gotten to know fairly well because we are both recording at Summerhouse Records. His website hasn't been updated in a long time but he's got some full songs uploaded which I think are pretty decent quality though they are his OLD recordings.

Yes they are ALL his own songs. If you didn't listen to "Mystery" you really should as well, it's a great song. Right now he plays at a local bar called Skellies in Buford Ga and also plays at 37 Main which is like 5 minutes from there. One of the coolest people I know, great guy. He offers me to play a set everytime I swing by. I've only played 37 Main (and that's when he wasn't there unfortunately) but hopefully when I get some practice in with my live equipment I'll finally take him up on the offers. OH one more thing, he does a kickass DM and Eddie Vedder impersonation. Seriously his version of Crash, Jimi Thang, and Ants Marching are better than any of the covers posted on this site quite easily. Oh and the final last thing (hee), he really doesn't mind helping other musicians get started. He gives me advice and makes me feel like it's really gonna be possible for me to be a working musician. He's had weeks where he's made $2000-$2500 in a few days from gigging around  Not famous yet, but hopefully his deal with interscope will happen, definitely earned it.

No disrespect intended, I should have said "better than what I've heard on here so far" cause I went through all the pages and listened to the posted recordings.

Man this dude is amazing! The quality of the recordings is soo freakin good, i wish i had the equipment and producing know how to make something like that. There are some people's voices that just suck you in and are intoxicating. I think that this guy has it. I hope he makes it

Yeah, he recorded his stuff at Summerhouse Records and Chuck (sound engineer and owner) is DA MAN :D That's where I've been recording as well. Whenever I finish up some recordings at Summerhouse I'll make sure to post them on here, right now all I've posted has been some crappy home recording covers :)
