COVER CONTEST VOTING

Seems some people want a cover contest so I figured I'd get voting started.

o god, those are all such good cover songs. if i had to pick 5 to do. i'd pick those EXACT five.

i can't decide

why don't we do one of them every two weeks, haha.....no, that would be too much.

well, PFWYG is a bit too simple for a contest really. but it is a kick ass song. BOWA is......i think we'd get crappy covers of it. i'd say JIMI or LIOG.

hmmm.......okay, i voted Jimi. but we should consider doing multiple contests of these.

I think singing should be required. But I also think it's important not to try to sound exactly like Dave. Make the song your own.

I'd by happy with any of those songs, but I voted for PFWYG just because I thought it would be interesting to see what people come up with. Oh, and I don't think singing should be mandatory.

People are going to end up getting bored of listening to 12 different versions of the same song. We should be given a choice of say three songs and then judged by the performance of the cover.

I think that might make things a little more interesting. Thoughts?

i know what you mean, it sometimes gets borring. but its the only way to do it really, if we want a true competition.

but if its not a hardcore competition that we want, then maybe different songs would be appropriate. but honestly, i'd rather have just one song at a time. that leaves room for other contests later. and it doesn't encourage people to only do their BEST song, but challenges them to do something else.

anyone else?

how about a cover contest of Dodo. hell yeah, i think that would be so good. its simple enought so that everyone who wanted to do it could, and it allows for A LOT of creativity.

any takers? i think that would be humungously awesome.
