im relatively new to guitar, i can do the verse part of granny fine, i dont know if its right to ask this here or not but oh well, can anyone help me with the muting (x) parts on the A and D strings and how you do it?

the finger fretting the e string will naturally lay over those strings and mute them
if it's not, then work on doing it

don't start out on this song. It's got a weird rythm change in it that will frustrate you in the end. Go for simpiler stuff with more of a steady rythm. Start off with something like DDTW.

I find Granny to be one of the easier ones. Just learn the song in it's three parts and then mesh them together.

the only part of this song i cant do very well is changing to that G, cuz sometimes my pinky will lock up from the previous two chords, and i have to take a second to make it flexible again, then play it, so there is like a one or two second pause inbetween there, perhaps i could just call it a dramatic pause or a pause for emphasis, or perhaps to let the previous chord ring out...oh hell
