"Grace Is Gone" Cover

Unread post by GreedylilPig » Sat Mar 20, 2004 4:52 pm

Hey, guys. This is the first cover of any of Dave's work I've posted. Late last night for some reason I was wide awake and I decided I really wanted to record Grace Is Gone. This recording is more relative to that of the Lillywhite Sessions - I've always been quite fond of that version. Thanks in advance to anyone who listens and critiques.

Brian... thanks for the post. Since hearing (and consistently listening to) "I Was Just Thinking" I've been looking forward to your next recording. Given that I really like "Grace is Gone", this was a treat. The song sounded great... unique rendition. The only distraction is the high frequency 'buzz' that's in the background of the recording. I'm not sure what's causing that... maybe your pickup or vocal mic. Great job.

I like it Brian. The vocals could be turned a little, and that buzz Guitarrista mentioned is a little annoying. But, in terms of the playing and singing, nice job!

great job! good pace and rhythm. your voice sounded good to me.

i've been trying for awhile to play this song and keep getting frustrated. good to listen to a version other than dave's.

I think this is probably my favorite cover of yours yet! Really awesome, keep it up
I'll play it first and tell you what it is later.
