Anyone heard of this guitar? My bro is looking for a nice starter guitar, and we were thinking that this would be a good deal...

Actually I'm teaching a friend to play and he bought that yamaha starter package. The guitar itself really isn't anything special, but a decent guitar to begin on. The new player is going to be upgrading guitars fairly quickly if they truly enjoy playing (it always happens)...so dont worry about picking up a great guitar in the beginning.

Good luck.

At christmas I bought a package deal off of musicians friend that came with a rouge guitar and a mandolin for 100$. the guitar is actually decent, I take it camping and places where there is a possibility that there will be lots of drunk people.. but it has a good sound and with a little bridge work, a nice action..
