I love Elixirs!

Unread post by unccharlotte07 » Thu Mar 18, 2004 5:49 pm

I recently bought a set of these awesome strings for my acoustic, and let me tell you, these things are the best! I have been playing for over 2 years, and I regret not having bought some of these sooner. Even though they are extra lights (and I hear these have poorer tone than heavier strings) they are better sounding than any other type of string that I have ever owned. I am finally able to play Satellite now (and a few others I struggled with before) because I had trouble with it on heavier strings. I just had to share this because they are the only strings I will ever buy from now on! And I also look forward to seeing if they really do last as long as they claim they will.

I came to shed a little light on this darkening scene
Instead I fear I spill the blood of my children all around"

Random movie quote to make you seem hip and "with it": I'm thinking about getting metal legs. It's a risky operation, but it'll be worth it.

And what do you propose that I use instead? And don't start talking about pubic hairs again:

when you start using razor sharp peices of metal and cutting your fingers to a bloody pulp, then you're starting..

until then use real strings, d'addario's

For me, playing songs like satellite and #41 with elixirs was always harder because my fingers were always slip sliding around when i was trying to plant my pinky on a stretch. I play nothing but d'addarios when i have the cash
