DMB won Best DVD for Central Park
Gov't Mule and Phish were among the winners at the Jammy Awards, but with dynamic performances from the String Cheese Incident, Solomon Burke, Susan Tedeschi and a reunion of Black Crowes brothers Chris and Rich Robinson, few may have noticed.
As usual, the musical lineup upstaged the awards at the fourth annual event Tuesday night, held at The Theater at Madison Square Garden. The show, which celebrates the best live acts and jam artists, featured a wide variety of artists, including Edie Brickel, Slick Rick, the Harlem Gospel Choir, co-host Robert Randolph, Dickey Betts and the Derek Trucks Band.
Gov't Mule won the most awards at the event with two — best live album for "The Deepest End" and best live performance, which they shared with Les Claypool, Bela Fleck, Sonny Landreth.
