Tunings

Unread post by NoNotThat » Tue Mar 16, 2004 4:39 pm

I've been playing/listening to Nick Drake like mad whoa crazy recently, and experimenting with some of the different tunings he uses. Is it bad that I like using alternate tunings a lot more than standard? Am I cheating? I just think they sound so pretty...

Haha i do the same thing. I enjoy playing my baritone a lot; not necessarily better, just a different sound. Variation is good !

Have fun

Alternate tunings are the bomb. It's fun making up your own and knowing that people have no clue what your doing.

i like handing my guitar to people without telling them its in alternate tunings, and then see the confusion on their faces when they sound like crap.
