D&T at D&F, no LIOG coda

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

D&T at D&F, no LIOG coda

Unread post by Davy28 » Thu Mar 11, 2004 1:49 am

this question has probably been asked before, send me a link to the thread if it has, but why in the name of god did Dave and Tim not play the "I can't believe that we would lie..." like normal at the end of the jam? At the Key Arena (unbelieveble show), why did they just let it trickle out at the end of timmy's jam?
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

If this be true then it is UNACCEPTABLE! We all kinda dealt with it when they started pulling parts from Grey Street but LIOG is a TIMELESS DMB and D&T classic. Without the closer after the jam....you're just left with this big thing hanging out there. You know? This thing....it's BIG...and it's just hanging....out there.

I couldn't have been imagining things, because when dave ended the song I looked back at the guy behind me and his was in disbelief also. Then he shouted, "c'mon dave, don't wuss out on us now!"

I was at the show and yes he did cut it short. I almost lost it. Just really suprising to end on tim' solo. Hopefully it wont happen again, but we were robbed!

If they skip the coda this summer, I might throw a knife on stage. it will have a note wrapped around it with the lyrics of the coda on it.
