its only a preview. I've been working on it for like 10 minutes now, here is a small preview.

Random movie quote to make you seem hip and "with it": I still hate you, but you have a pretty good collection of nudie magazines.

I like your voice too. You should try and loosen up a bit more and really belt those notes. When I say belt I don't mean sing louder I mean sing with more emotion, more passion. This is the simplest thing that anyone can do to improve their vocals. I'm not sure if you were going for a more folky laid back version so I critiqued it based on the original. Good job.

Btw. If you add some reverb to the track it will make it sound more demetional and less sterile. Give it a try.

I saw where you wanted to get some "Dave'ism" in there but you finally held it back... a bit. This is how I see your situation and I hope you take this as constructive cause I definitely see potential. It's a catch 22. Dave is the guy that got you into guitar playing, it's what helped you learn. Unfortunatley singing his songs you've gotten more into impersonation than interpretation. I feel this cover is a step in the right direction, but I also think you are still in search of your own voice. Definitely getting on the right track though.
