Guitar strings/tone question

Unread post by dmfollower » Sun Mar 07, 2004 3:31 pm

So i've got this old fender acoustic/elec. and i've had to replace the whole saddle and the bridge a couple of times throughout the years. I've found that as the years have gone by that whenever i put new strings on it that awesome first week of great ring and tone has been getting shorter and shorter.
Anyone know what this could be? Obviously, my guitar is getting pretty worn out but it should atleast have a few days of great sound right?
Any help would be appreciated.

... i wish i had some advice on what to tell you, but i too have an older Fender acous/elec. and sometimes have the same problems... dunno what to tell you.... but i strickly use that guitar for alternate tunings now, so it's not been much of an issue cuz i tend not to worry w/ it much... I've just come to think of it as being the guitar... oh well bud

Random movie quote to make you seem hip and "with it": I'm thinking about getting metal legs. It's a risky operation, but it'll be worth it.
