Voice Lessons: Bel Canto Method?

Unread post by ElGuitarrista » Fri Mar 05, 2004 8:01 pm

So I opened up the phone book today and called around to two or three places about voice lessons. I only got in touch with one woman. She said she teaches the Bel Canto method.

Does anyone know anything about this method. Is it like the 'industry-standard' or is it not the primary method? I'm just looking to get some formal instruction in voice training.

Any experiences, recommendations?

I would personally recomend the seth riggs Speech level method of singing. It can be taylored to fit any genre, more so than bel canto. Bel canto is the Old italian style of singing. Go to http://www.sethriggs.com to find out more.
