nah...thanks though. it probably all boils down to my cheap azz guitar.

i have the same problem with my high e. if it's open, it completely kills the chord.

it's probably why i also have a problem with the two finger dave chords (2x02xx, 3x04xx, 5x06xx, 7x07xx)...that open D just sounds awful...kills the chords. I usually try to mute it.

Fcuk it...i need a new guitar.

yeah, pretty sure i'm in tune... :roll:

actually, i've had numerous people tell me it usually has something to do with cheap nuts and saddles. basically, my open strings always drown the fretted ones. pretty frustrating. only been playing for a year and a half, still learning the ins and outs of this POS. i think i've improved enough to deserve something a little nicer.
