A solo warehouse?

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

A solo warehouse?

Unread post by Phan226 » Mon Feb 23, 2004 10:41 pm

Hey all!

I was considering re-doing warehouse....ok ok no flames.... I love the song but it doesnt really lend itself to solo acoustic performance. I was thinking about slowing the tempo of the verse and perhaps changing the melody arround for this section in order to do an "original-cover." Also just cooling the whole thing down...maybe a bluesey/jazzy feel to the whole thing. If you guys have any advice/imput it would be much appreciated or if this has already been done let me know!

thanks!
~George...the new guy :D

Thats cool that you want to do something original, but how doesn't warehouse have the ability to go solo acoustic?

well.....haha it does. however, i play weekly in a coffee house and they like to keep it down (volume wise) and i feel like i cant do a pianno version in its original form it just wont do the song justice.

Go for it. That's usually what I do with acoustic covers. I change the picking into arpeggio and stuff, just give it a fuller sound.
Stay with me, safe and ignorant.
