The Dave Matthews Cover Band

Unread post by captainburrito » Sat Feb 28, 2004 4:06 am

So, I just got back from the Dave Matthews Cover Band concert here in Ft. Collins. It was pretty sweet. That guy's voice was right on. Has anyone else here seen them?

I'm glad to see that the guy has original stuff. We have a band that plays around here a lot called Crash. They are very good but a little pretentious. They think they are the band. Part of me respects that they play the songs that well, the other part thinks if they have that much talent, they should make up their own stuff.

Yeah, I downloaded "Time" by him from their website. It sounds kind of like "The Maker" at some points. It is really good, he played it in the encore last night.

I saw em with Jason when they came to LA. Impressive, for sure...but it just wasnt the same. I dont think I'd pay to see them again. Koon really does think he's dave though...its funny.

Beauford, I see a lot of posts where you brag about being able to do the "Dave dance". So let's see it then. Video yourself or something. Cause if it's the best then we gotta see it.
