So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

I am pretty sure I saw Dave play with these, but I cna't find them. They're the ones that are a big flowery pattern that stretch across the fretboard. It's not like every odd fret, but just a big picture...Any pics/help is MUCH appreciated!

thats the Cindy inlay that was discontinued except on customs and LTD's by Taylor in 2000. its my favorite inlay Taylor offers.

Cindy isn't what I thought, unless it was the older one...The flower thing is only at the bottom. The one I am thinking of has it as the whollllle fret board...Maybe I am dreaming

I'm convince that Dave has a 914, and according to Jared here, he has many of them. So I'm thoroughly convinced he has a 914. If I'm correct, it's the 614-CE that looks a lor like the 914-CE because it doesn't have the natural pick guard on it like the 700s and 800s have. But then again I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that he has a 914.

But if you're talking about inlays that go ALL the way down the neck, and if it's a Taylor, it's a Presentation Series Taylor. So there's my two cents. Hope that kind of helps :-P

I didn't think he did either, but that's the only guitar series that I know that has the inlays go ALL the way down the fretboard like it does. Otherwise I'm convinced it's the 914 ;-)

my local taylor guy said that dave and other musicians get second hands that they can't sell because of little blemishes, like factory seconds. he's been trying to buy one, but taylor said they only give them away and don't sell them. so i dont know, but i'm pretty sure he does have a 914 because there's a ton of inlay work on the outside of that guitar that i'm thinking of and he uses the 714 for raised b i thought.

That's a 1998 914CE with the cindy inlay right there.

Close but a little away , its only a 914c , it has the cutaway , but not the ES system , Dave has electronics added later on , and yes he have 3 of them , 2 with the venetian cutaway and 1 with the florentine(sp) cutaway , and i've never seen Dave with a 714ce , a 714 yes , Tim has a 714ce now though ;)

Oh and i think it was since 2000 that Dave started using the 914c which he have used at a million shows since :) Including all Farm Aids
