Effects Pedal Question
Effects Pedal Question
Looking to get my first pedal, and I wanted some input from musicians. I wanted a wah pedal because I have a crush on Voodoo Child, but I am also open to any of the effects. What pedals do you guys like and maybe more importantly, what brands?

I don't own many effects pedals, but Boss is one of the top brands and is known for their durability and last quite a while. Digitech is another top name in pedals and they make some nice multi-effects pedals. I've owned an RP250 for a couple years now and it still works great.
And as far as wahs go, the Dunlop Crybaby is considered one of the best.

I'm a digitech guy myself, long lasting, durable, and not to expensive. As far as wahs go, yeah crybabys are the best. And the kind you get is really up to you, I mean they have your normal wah, as well as a bunch of signature wahs including Slash and Kirk Hammett but if you really want that Voodoo Child sound heres a link to the signature Hendrix wah:

A lil more on the expensive side, but I've tried the wah out at a Guitar Center and I really enjoy it. but for your first wah I would go with a normal Crybaby, the majority of people won't be able to tell the difference. The name Hendrix really adds a few bucks.

I like my Vox wah. I'd say two of the most important pedals to start out with are a tuner and delay. Boss tuner is a standard, but I might switch mine out for a Korg Pitchblack. You can pick up a Boss DD-3 or a DD5-DD7 for relatively cheap too.

the vaginal fluid they are secreting is the same composition of urine minus the uric acid and phosphorous. i learned that in 11th grade anatomy. btw, sometimes it does have a FAINT smell of Pizzle.

I think John Butler used one.
Re: Effects Pedal Question
I only rarely use a Blues Driver for some light Scofield-esque crunch.

This is my pedalboard at the moment.. Only difference is the footswitch on the bottom right is different because I have a different amp.

I don't know. I know Shane linked me to the site of the guy who does it before, but I can't remember what it actually did. I think it was supposed to improve the tone or something.
