it's a sad day

Unread post by gregplaysguitar » Thu Feb 13, 2003 6:13 pm

Well, Waldo from No where radio has informed me that band managment has been watching this forum closely and is cracking down on all people that are posting covers and making sure we are charged a fee for doing so. This is so fucking hipocritical that a band that allows taping of every live performance would come down on the little people who play there music out of appriciation. I'm not making money, i'm not doing shit but playing for the love of playing and now if I want you to hear it, I gotta pay. WTF.....

While what he said could be true. It's hard to believe him considering he was not too happy with this site last time we had a run-in with him. PLus if they were cracking down and watching this site jkanter would have heard something, right? Maybe he has, but he would have put a stop to the cover contest or said something to us if he had.

But of course what he said may jsut be true..which would suck totally. We are not making money from it. And we are not claiming them as our own songs (don't know if this matters or not) . I guess we will have to see.

Peace,

It's all a bunch of bullshit. I respect the sites policy for not permitting covers on their site 'cause its supposed to for musicians' original material who are trying to get noticed. but what's all these heat for right? sheesh
good, and you?

Just take your stuff down. About a month ago the guy from nowhere radio came on here and started a huge argument. It's best that you just use something else. That's where the angelfire idea came from.

I completely agree with this statement. Waldo from NoW is just a fucking moron who doesn't understand the US legal system (he's from Canada btw - Waldo, if you're reading this, fuck you man). Band management couldn't give a flying rat's ass about us doing covers. The band has shown in the past they support any actions by the dmb community to promote community and involvement.

Waldo was banned from the board, unless he's using a public computer i doubt he's able to really check out what's been going on...

"You agree not to post any abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-oriented or any other material that may violate any applicable laws. Doing so may lead to you being immediately and permanently banned (and your service provider being informed)."

At least that's what it said when I signed up here 5 minutes ago...

You geeks are a bunch of HYPOCRITES!
You broke this site's rules in almost every post here...
So why should you respect some other site's (Like Nowhere Radio) rules?
Think about that...

No-I am not Waldo..But I DO have songs on Nowhereradio.

And guess what?...I WROTE them! MYSELF!!!

More than you sheep appear to do...

Waldo has a right not to be sued...
Yes-You are breaking the law posting tunes at his site without the DMB permission.

You clones are worse than Star Trek fans, I swear...

Actually re-read your comments in this post...
You guys are really SAD.

I know Waldo, you guys don't...And you are WAY off base on your Judge & Jury convictions here.
And thanks for upholding the stereotype that "Canadians" & anyone else who are not "Americans" are idiots...

No wonder every country hates us..They've probably talked with you guys.

Who are you and why are you here? If you were to read the posts he made he was an asshole when he didn't have to be. It was an episode that got out of hand and you coming in and insulting us does make it worse. We have washed our hands with this issue and we are not dealing with Nowhereradio anymore. I have no hard feelings with Waldo. He told me that I couldn't host the songs there so I stopped, no hassel. There is no need to continue with this.

Peacefully submitted,
