Big Whiskey

Unread post by cmarti10 » Mon Oct 26, 2009 4:40 am

So I listened to the album almost religiously after it came out. Now, I haven't listened to it in about a month. Anyone else experience a lack of dmb because of the last album lol? Really I feel like hes lost my interest. Maybe hes run his course, or maybe I'm just done listening to dave. I really wish he came out with another dave and tim cd (if there hasn't been one recently I am unaware of).

I haven't listened to it much since my initial marathon, which lasted weeks if not over a month, but I still think it's solid.

Haven't listened since the third week it was out. The only song that kept me coming back was Baby Blue.

I don't know what the problem is. I think the first albums were so good, SO GOOD, because of the fact Dave realized he was among superior musicians. Don't get me wrong he is the one who makes it all work, and it is cool they are all working together. I liked it better when he just played what he had and the band molded around it. It just seemed to fit the name, and the overall dave(vibe), of the Dave Matthews Band.

I'll tell you what the problems are.

Steve Lillywhite is not producing the records and Dave isn't the sole song writer. Correct these two things and you'll have a great album again.

Example of that: Little Red Bird

A solo album of those kind of songs would be awesome

LITHOG is one of the best songs this band has ever written.

apart from that, the rest of the album is not too bad. The bonus material is better though.
