Love Soon cover

Unread post by horsmar15 » Wed Feb 18, 2004 4:44 pm

Hey everybody, i'm back with a new cover. This time it's love soon by John Mayer. I heard this song a few times during a road trip this weekend, and a friend requested for me to cover it so here is what I came up with.

As usual, comments are welcome, Enjoy!

I love this song, this was one of the first Mayer tunes that I learned to play. There's a lot of chords too, probably about 30 or so!
Good job on the guitar, the only negative thing I could say about it was the rythm wasn't dead-on, but that song is difficult to play & I give you props!

Did you play it like John does & use your thumb for a lot of those chords? ....& is there anyway to download those songs of yours w/out streaming them?
Since I don't sing, I don't think I should critique others that do, so that said, I say good job, & nice song choice too.

To answer the questions, I use my thumb to play all of the verse chords and most of the other chords that require fretting the low e. Also, you can download the mp3 if you sign up at soundclick.com, i think. I know the rythym was off in parts, but in order for me to concentrate on singing, I needed to modify the rythym to make it less complicated.

hmm... i don't know why the link wouldn't work, it should take you to my soundclick music page where you can download the song. If you still have problems with it I will upload it to my tripod site as well. I would do it right now but my internet connection is bogged down (peak network hours ) :(
