Grey Street on 12-string

I heard a rumor that Dave was actually playing a banjo during spoon, and if you listen closely I think it actually sounds almost kinda like banjo.

thats not a banjo, a banjo has more like a hollow steel sound. dave definetly plays a 12-string, you cant get that sound on a banjo, despite the rumors

i figured as much, and yeah, fleck is the man, freakin electric banjo, he is so cool, victor wooten is the man even more than fleck though (ive only been to two of their concerts but i have a few on cd)

shit i just listened to another recording of spoon... Dave actually says

"Boyd was kind enough to lend me his violin for this next song...its called spoon"

I always though he played it on a 12 string to. I saw him in Atlanta, and he played a 12 string. It was pretty cool, because he popped a couple strings and kept on going, but anywho...ya i always thought it was on a 12 string...

heres a rough tab

fork tap right knee...fork slap right cheek, fork hit dave in face..

pretty rough but just used the EmajorFork scale u will be fine

Have fun with it...but the real secret is the knife tim slips in when no one is looking..cut u up real bad if u dont know waht ur doing

ok I'll work on it and post my cover up tomorrow when I get it down perfectly. Firedancer - GET READY!!! I might even add in some pot and pan percussion effects.
