Looking for Critique?

Unread post by dmb_tatertot » Wed Feb 11, 2004 10:45 pm

Hey everyone,
I, in conjunction with Chartruce Records, am looking for a rising "star" for a college tour we are going to promote for the Fall 2004 school term. Original music is preferred, but we have no problems with a cover artist/band. If you are looking for more information please drop me a PM, but please post some music for us to listen to. We promise to give feedback to all songs posted.

Thank you all

Chris

Hey,

Being that this is a DMB board, i went ahead and listened to your cover of Long Black Veil. First of all, let me state you have a very strong voice and have very good intenation. I liked the original sound that you have, it was a pleasent change. The guitar was excellent; however, the vocals were a little overpowering at times...might wanna mix a little more of the guitar track in. At a couple points, it sounded a bit too aspirated, problem just the mic though. I'm gonna listen to a couple of your other tracks before i pass final judgement though haha. Overall i would give the recording a B+. Good emotion, original sound, can't ask for too much more.

Good Luck

Chris

Hey fatjack,

I had a chance to listen to "Something Wrong" and Valhalla. Both should great muscial ability. My assistant said that it was very "Pulp Fiction-esque". It truly is a very unique sound which is refreshing as always. I would give the instrumental talent an A-. Good emotion is conveyed, steady tempo.Throw down a vocal track and it would be awesome. Let me know if you guys brave the storm and try some vocals.

Good Luck!

Chris
