i-am-me wrote:she's very cute. i have to say. so you said you had a good labor story?? let's hear it!!
You know, I was going to share one, then put it in words, and it just doesn't sound as funny written down.. -but- between the epidural (pain med for Mom - for those of you who have never been through birth) wearing off, and my not hardly being able to see becuase of tears to cut the cord, it was pretty eventful. On a good note, only 3 HARD pushes, and she was out, which is good for my wife. Well, I'm off to bed cause it's 1:30, and I have to get them from the hospital tomorrow. I'll post a better pic link when I get the site built (probably in flash)..
that sounds cool... if you don't mind me asking, she wasn't in labor all that long? My mom was in labor for 13 FRIGGIN HOURS with my brother!

Well, it's been a fun day. They came home today, and my other kids (and my 3 year old neice) are just like little mother hens. The baby can't fuss without one of them running to her trying to console her. It's both a good thing since they're not jealous, and a frustrating thing, because they won't leave her alone. We're trying to explain that when newborns cry, it's a good thing, because it helps develop their lungs even more. Besides, she doesn't cry for very long anyway.

I'll say this, kids are a blessing... they try your patience often, but at the same time, you would give up your life in a second protecting them. Well, I'm out for a feeding, and bed.. as soon as the flash movie is done, it'll be under http://sgtmaines.eclipsedigitalsolutions.com

Have a good one all.

Rick

Hey SgtM - check out the DMB onesies at the Official Store. I know it's a little overboard, but it's also kind of funny to see my daughter crawling around wearing DMB.

SgtM - I don't want to bore everyone about the baby talk (obviously I get excited about it), but do you play guitar? If you do, start playing for your baby right away - it's great. My daughter can recognize and start dancing around when I play LIOG and it is hilarious.
