Does anyone else have trouble w/the strumming on SDL?

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Does anyone else have trouble w/the strumming on SDL?

Unread post by Stuntcheeks » Tue Feb 10, 2004 10:01 pm

For the life of me, I cannot strum that damned song right.

I can finger the chords just fine....can't seem to find that rhythm.

Any suggestions?
Peace,

Stunt

I have a couple versions of Dave playing it, but one more example wouldn't hurt.

Thanks.

hmm yea it is quite difficult to strum compared to all of Dave's other stuff. I guess the best way to describe it is like this:

Code: Select all

       vuv v u v u
E--------------------------
B--------------------------
G---9h11--9--11--9--11-
D----------x---x---x---x-
A---9h11--9--11--9--11-
E--------------------------

basically some quick strums for the 9h11's and slow it down for the 9--11 part. Its not as good as a clip but i figured i would help out anyway or at least try. This is the way I play it anyway, if im wrong someone PLZ correct me :)
