What size Pick for Playing Dave?

I always use a thin type pick, and I know that Dave uses a medium type. Just wondering what other people are using, and if you think it makes a real difference...

I say medium picks are good - Dunlop .60mm or .73mm are what I use and they seem to work well.

if .60s are thins to you then i suggest very thins
.50s work best for me

yeah maybe so. I guess I consider the .38 and .46 to be thin. the .60 and .73 to be medium. the .88 to 1.0(?) to be thick.

at farm aid i saw he was using dunlop tortex thins, the .50 ones that are red

I use the red Tortex picks...sometimes the orange...i think they're .50 and .60 or something like that...dont feel like checking...

I used to use the Jim Dunlop (grey ones). I always said I would not play the same picks as Dave so it doesn't look like I'm imitating everything he does.

Then I treid the Dunlop Tortex Standard .60mm. They were so much better, now I use them.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it,

I buy Fender Mediums, I hate thin picks with a passion. Don't care much for the thick ones, either.

i use the dunlops 1mm real thick blue ones. i think thick ones offer more controls for solos and stuff, but thin ones might sound better for rhythm.

Dunlop Tortext .88, the green ones, i play rhythm and lead, i know Tim uses a 1.0 and dave uses the thinner in the .60 range, so i opted for the .88, best of both worlds, been working well for me.
