What Guitar are you Playing???

Unread post by billywestom » Sun Feb 09, 2003 2:55 am

Just curious what kind of guitar everyone is using. I listen to a lot of people's recordings and they sound great, and I can't get mine to sound as good. I wonder if it is my $200 Ibanez

I play an Art & Lutherie guitar I bought for the tag price of $349 canadian. perhaps I could've bargained a bit for it but oh well, it's a good guitar.

but what I want is what I've not got. (Taylor PS14c)
good, and you?

yo what model Larrivee do you have? I'm thinking of buying an L-03.

Larrivee are possibly the best all around guitars. period.

I use a Taylor 314 I bought in June 2000 for $599. Apparently the same guitar is running at $1000+.

do taylors usually run more than martins? i see that the list price for a taylor 914c is about 5000, but a martin hd-28v is like half of that...

The Taylor 914c is WAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY nicer than the hd-28v. A more accurate comparison would be like a D-42. Actually, an OM-42 would be a better comparison, as it is more similar to the 914 than the dreadnaught.

i've never played either brand of guitar, but based on the guitars that i have heard dave play, i would prefer the sound of the martin. maybe im wrong, like i said, never heard one "in person" :?:

I *have* heard both, and I can tell you I like the tone of Martins much, much better. (hell, I have one :)

I like the tone of Martins more too. They sound like they're made of wood, unlike the Taylors which sound more like a bunch of tuning forks
:D :? :P Taylors look pretty though
good, and you?
