So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Why can't I reach like Dave without cutting the skin between my fingers to do it? Oh how I wish I could...
Man, I'm so glad this site is finally up...I was worried I'd be stuck with so-so DMB tabs forever. Excellent job on the site JKanter

practice practice practice. Give it a few months and you'll wonder why it was so hard in the first place.
I was just talking to a friend about that about an hour ago and he refered to dave's guitar playing as "godlike." But it just doesn't seem that way to me anymore. Just takes practice.

I kinda agree.... after you figure a song out it kinda takes the mystery and aweness out of the song... but Dave is Godlike in my opinion. I can play The Stone, but seeing the recording of the Charlie Rose Show still blows me away. Kid Rock pimp of the nation?? no... Dave Matthews. Well, thats what I think anyway.
Its cold as hell outside
But our fire is bright
And in your eyes
I can see what is on my mind
You got me wild
Turned around inside

Lots of people can play his music.
The reason that Dave is godlike is because he can create it.
EDIT: egads! I just now noticed a typo, so I took it out.
