Looking for advice on a song with Barre Chords.
Looking for advice on a song with Barre Chords.
Hey everyone,
I have been playing guitar for about 2-3 months now. I have recently been learning barre chords. My guitar teacher wants me to bring in a song where we can now put the basic barre chords that we have been learning to use. Does anyone have any advice as to what would be some good songs that I could use that are not TOO hard but where the artist uses barre chords?
First person that came to mind was Jack Johnson, but I would like to read your opinions.
Thanks

I immediately thought of Jack Johnson. Other than that, any open chord song (which you probably know several by now) can easily be translated to barre. Its actually good practice to learn songs you know in open chords in barre form as well.

You might wanna check out some Jason Mraz songs , there should be some " not too complicated " songs , and he is using Barre chords a lot
Is it only Barre chords ? Or can it be a mix ? If so , you might wanna check out The Maker which Dave is also covering , the original artist is Daniel Lanois
Good song and easy to play

technically those are "power chords", not barre chords. Barre chords refer to the full 5 or 6 string barring chords:jjr0319 wrote:when i think of a classic barre chord song to learn, its gotta be Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana. it's a very recognizable riff
