I used to not be able to make the stratch. I was not even close but after playing for awhile I got it.

One word: Satellite. I think this song helped me tremendously in getting the muscles stretched. Just keep playing that intro over and over and over......we're talking BURN baby! :twisted: It scares me how easy the Satellite intro is for me now....man it was brutal at first. Just one man's opinon......

You CAN fingerpick the main riff in Satellite if you so desire but it's actually done with a pick. As far as picking it's pretty easy - you just need to use a very rhythmic down-picking. It takes some time to get it up to speed but just concentrate on the fingering of the left hand and making the motion of switching between the fingerings as fluid as possible. As soon as your left hand gets used to the form, your right hand will have no problem with the picking.
