I change my elixirs about every 2-3 months. (3 months is way too long imo.. I'm just poor and lazy)

But I also wash my hands before I play...and after I wipe my ass.

Sure, you'll need to eventually change them, just nowhere near as soon.

I put a set of exp lights on my guitar around a month ago and they still sound good compared to the set of martins that lasted me only a few weeks. I also don't think that they squeek that much and my fingers have never turned green.( as previously mentioned )

d'addario and dean markley and martin's are all decent strings but elixer has the best strings for acoustics. .010's are the best. none sound better than the .010 elixers. and for electrics ernie ball .08's or.09's

Its all about what you feel comfortable playing with , and if you can make it sound good , no strings and no guitar will sound good if the player ain't good , reverse that process , a good player can make any string and basically any 30$ guitar sound good , its all about personal preference :)

D'Adarrio 13's. No coating, no nothin'. It really doesn't get much better for me. I played elixers (both polyweb and nanoweb) for a while, and they were okay, but didn't really do anything for me. I just like the feel and sound of uncoated so much better.

I NEED coated strings. I go through uncoated in about 2-3 days, and Elixir nanoweb lights every week. I play an average of 2 hrs. a day. I wash my hands, and wipe down the strings before, during, and after. I wish I could get by with less expensive strings, but I turn them black and green in about 45 minutes. It all depends on what you need, and what you want. Combine those two factors with what guitar you play, and find a balance.
