hmmmm, i think thats too hard of a question....
3-14-99 is a nice D+T
3-23-93 is a nice full band
4-22-93 is another cool D+T, i think the first one
4-20-02 is sweet because of the 36 minute #41

Well, anything in the last 3 or 4 years is out.

I'll have to think. Its either a 96 or a 98 show.

I was there, and it was great. I'm glad they played I Did it, it gave me time to stop dancing and buy a t-shirt. :D

Not bad, but that was a very, very average 96 setlist. Minus I did it. And they played with more energy back then.

Its kinda my point - people get excited over that set now, when it was what you'd expect as standard in 96.

They did not play with more energy back then. The band is putting out more energy now than they ever did. Maybe they used to mix it up more setlist wise (which i think last year they started doing well again) they are definatley playing better musically and playing with more energy and fun now.

Go watch any vid from 95, 96ish. Dave dances on every song. I dont mean to be a dick, but I'm guessing your first shows were after 2000? The band is VERY static when compared with the mid 90s.

I'd have to agree with mike...96 or 98 was when you really needed to see DMB. That "set" up there is definitely a complete surprise and you got DAMN lucky to get that kind of a set, however, that was standard back in the mid to late 90s. It's all about the Dave dancing and the Chet, hence 96-98.
