Getting concert tickets from outside the US

Unread post by HW--1 » Sat Jan 31, 2004 7:57 am

I can't wait for DMB's new album and summertour, especially because I hope to get my university degree this year and do some traveling in the USA afterwards, and... see a DMB Concert!!!

My problem is that I live in the Netherlands and I don't know how to get tickets from here (when they become available, that is).

--> What is the best way to get tickets for a show from outside the US? Any ideas???

THANKS!!!

Well if you mean for a show inside North America, I'd say ebay is an ok place. It could get pricey though, so be prepared to shell out some money. I'm not sure if the warehouse (dmb's official fan club) is an international thing but if you can join there (about 30-35 US dollars) You will have access to advance ticket sales. I'm not sure how else you could get tickets with your situation. Good luck, hope you can find some.

Try http://www.Ticketmaster.com when you hear of the concert schedule. You shouldn't have a problem with it being outside the US, but I'm not totally sure on that ;-)

i would think ticketmaster would also be fine! Ebay is also a possibility, but be careful!!! I've heard of alot of  stories from people that bought tickets via ebay and they turned out to be fakes

when the tour is announced and you figure out your plans let me (and maybe some others on the board) know and maybe we can help you out. I have been pretty lucky with tickets that last couple of tours in the NY area and would be happy to help if I can.

Where in Holland do you live, my in-laws are in Maastricht and I go often

Thanks for the offer Heathcliff and for the info everyone. I checked out Ticketmaster and I am VERY GLAD to say they also ship outside of the US. I am a warehouse member but their policies state that they do not do tickets for shipping & billing addresses outside of the USA and Canada... (If there is a loophole PLEASE prove me wrong  )

DMB HERE I COME!!!! :D
