how do you tune to F#

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

how do you tune to F#

could anyone tell me how in the tab for you never know you tune the b to an F#

don't simply try and tune each string up the 2.5 steps up, it will break your strings and could damage your neck. dave uses a different set up of string gauges to be able to tune his up so high, but it's dangerous to tune normal strings that tight.

so what do i do, is using the normal tuning the only way to do it

Put a capo on the second fret. there is an alternate tab for using a capo on this site.

capo second for jkanter's alternative version, or just capo 7 and play it like dave does.

ok thanks guys, just went out and bought a capo. $18 and well worth it, the song is awesome :D
