Tab this Jam For Me???

Unread post by jebro » Tue Feb 04, 2003 2:27 pm

I want a member or members to tab the jam to a song for me. I hope asking is not looked down upon, if it is let me know. I can't even begin to tab something by ear, so hopefully you guys can help me out. The song is "Delicate Few" by o.a.r. off of their "Any Time Now" album. I just want to know how to play the jam starting at around 2:55, it only lasts like 9 seconds and just keeps repeating. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

it's the same C-Em-F-G-F-Em-C progression that he plays during the beginning of the song, but like almost every other o.a.r. song, marc plays mostly just the high strings, so you could play it either like this (taken from the O.A.R. tab archive):

Code: Select all

   C C Em F G G F Em C C
E--x---x---x---x---x---x---x---x---x---x--
B--x---x---8---x---x---x---x---8---x---x--
G--9---9---9---10--12--12--10--9---9---9--
D--10--10--9---10--12--12--10--9---10--10--
A--10--10--7---8---10--10--8---7---10--10--
E--8-- 8---x---x---x---x---x---x---8---8--
or like this:

Code: Select all

   C C Em F G G F Em C C
E--8---8---8---8---10--10--8---8---8---8--
B--8---8---8---10--12--12--10--8---8---8--
G--9---9---9---10--12--12--10--9---9---9--
D--10--10--9-------------------9---10--10--
A------------------------------------------
E------------------------------------------

yeah, you can find it here. it's pretty much the only o.a.r. tabs out there, but you could easily just figure almost all their songs out by ear.

thanks for the site. ok so basically all of their songs are just the basic formations of the chords such as c, d, g....etc. nothing special or weird just normal formations, and an occasional bar chord version? not what i would expect, but easy to learn. thanks again.

actually most of the time he uses barre chords i believe, but you can play the open chords and they sound just as good. it's hard to tell when he's using barres and when he's using opens so just play the however's easiest for you. but yes, the rhythm guitar of o.a.r. songs is very easy.
