Agreed. I don't even know what to do with myself right now.

Wow I don't normally post here, I just use this site for tabs, but this is awful. I feel horrible, DMB has been my favorite band for 10+ years. I really don't want them to break up because of this but I would understand and respect their decision if they did.

Wow this hurts. Dammit. Leroi's worries are over, but the band's have just begun. Playing tonight must've been the hardest show. Farewell Leroi.

i doubt it. time off is expected though. i cant see them not playing music anymore cuz of this, they love it more than anything. who knows when they will finish the new album tho. but we'll have time to talk about this later, i feel kinda weird talking about the future of the band hours after leroi passes away. i just dont know wat to do with myself. just watched the stone from listener supported and payed attention to leroi the whole time. i miss him already. listening to them from now on is gonna have new emotions, thats for sure.

Absolutely agreed. I remember thinking to myself "Roi, just hang out for a while, don't rush back, Coffin's blowing you out of the water." I feel terrible for thinking that now, knowing that I'll never see Roi play again. :(

Wow. Just wow.
I was in bed and my best friend who I take road trips to see the band every year called me and told me. This is unreal, incredibly saddening to everyone.
I can't help but think this really could hit the band hard enough to stop them. With Butch gone this year, and now Leroi's death, this summer has been a massive and abrupt change for DMB. I'm praying that all of them get through this rough time and come out stronger because of it.
My heart goes out entirely to the band, Leroi's family, and of course, Leroi.
To the greatest sax player I've ever known and have ever cared to listen to, rest in peace Leroi Moore.

This is surreal!

Being in LA makes me feel weird and I don't know if I regret having decided not to go to tonight's show...

I almost went to Roi's last show, I couldn't due to a scheduling conflict, and since I'm in CT, and the show was in VA, it wasn't really feasible. I'm definitely regretting it now.

What a loss, far too talented and far too young to move on. RIP

I just heard the news and my eyes cant stop watering. Maybe its just me, after following dmb for so long, its like losing a member of my family. I cant believe the guys are still playing tonight, there is no way a could. My prayers are with the guys and roi's family.

I haven't posted on this site for over two years, but I thought I would come back one more time to express my hardly consolable sadness at this loss of such a great and wonderful component to one of the greatest bands in American history, not to mention a humble and beautiful man. He had a tremendous amount of heart and had this amazing ability to translate it into wonderful music. I am listening to his pennywhistle solo on the Dreaming Tree and sobbing as I write this. I always felt that in a way, Roi's solo on that song was like a caged bird, a songbird in a cage desperate to be free. That songbird is, to me, his soul now, when trapped in his shattered body it was caged. Now it is free.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

Wow. I met up with some friends at a bar tonight to figure out plans for the Gorge and my friend got a text saying LeRoi had passed away. I can't believe it. I really can't. LeRoi was the SHIT. Every time I listen to so many of his riffs it gives me goosebumps. Goodbye good friend, and thanks for all of the amazing, uplifting, and beautiful music.
