Dave Messes up on L@LC!
Dave Messes up on L@LC!
I was very happy to find that on Live at Luther college Disk 2, about 3:09 on Warehouse (track 3), the rythm guitar gets a lil screwy (he messes up). It is very hard to hear because he keeps going with the rythm. (Not criticizing dave, just makes me feel a little better as a guitar player)

if you listen carefully to L@LC you'll hear many "mistakes" but since Dave's nature is improvising, his mistakes aren't actually mistakes. But what you hear and notice that makes you hear the "mistake" is how he fixes it, then u can tell he didn't mean to do that, but he still makes it sound good.
A mistake is only when u screw up and don't fix it, everything else is just a spure of the moment improvision(sp?)

Of course he makes mistakes. Every musician screws up now and again. Listen to the live shows and you'll hear it. My favorite was a show I went to in dallas. They where playing what would you say and on the last verse he starts off, up and down the pup..every dog has his day every day has.... We were all laughing saying he probably got distracted by some girl with big boobs on the front row and sorta lost his place.

There was one I was listening to that he started on the "every dog" verse, but everybody in the band was paying attention and everything flowed JUST fine. Then the second verse he sang the first verse. It was cool how it all worked just because they all know what they're doing and they pay attention......cuz they know dave slips up every now and thenmichaelb14 wrote:Of course he makes mistakes.
