very interesting.. that definitely is the best value i can think of for any company. I'll have to look into that morehcole wrote:The higher end models generally use wood that is more visually appealing but the woods used on the 03 series and the wood used on the 05...09...10 are all solid woods and of comparable quality. a 700$ Larrivee uses the same woods and building process as the 3000$ Larrivee unless you are getting into other woods

Re: What kind of guitar?
FWIW when I was looking for a guitar the 3 guys working at the local guitar shop agreed that Larrivee makes better guitars than Taylor or Martin in the $1,000 range... and they carry taylors and martins but not larrivees.Grachi wrote:very interesting.. that definitely is the best value i can think of for any company. Re: What kind of guitar?
yea that is the other thing. the local guitar place by me is great, great prices great deals and the guys dont try to BS you on anything. So it's really hard to go elsewhere or look elsewhere because I know they always throw in good deals with their guitars, but they don't offer Larrivee and to be honest I don't think I've seen them in any shop around pittsburgh. Maybe they are in GC cause I don't go to the one that is closest to me very often, but i've been to two and haven't seen them
