my Some Devil standard tab

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

I keep forgeting to post this. I watched the today show video over and over again (and it's great how they focus on the picking/strumming hand as much as the fretting hand. I made it as close as possible in standard to play exactly the same notes as well as chord structures. Here you go:

Code: Select all

-----------------
 Some Devil - DM
-----------------

Verse
Fingerpicked, unless where noted
e----------------------------------------------------------------------
B----------------------------------------------------------------------
G-------6/8--6/8--\6-6---------6h8-6----4------4$-------0---/-----2----
D-------7/9--7/9--\7-7---------7---7----6------6$-------0---------0----
A-----------------------------------------------------2---2-/---4---4--
E--*7--------------------*7----------------0--------3-------/-5--------
                                               @
*= this is as low as you can go in standard
@= strum not fingerpicked
$= sometimes he slides down quietly

Chorus
Stummed, unless where noted
e------------------------------ ---------------------------------------
B------------------------------ ---------------------------------------
G------------------------0----- ------0---/-----2----------------------
D------7---7-------------0----- ------0---------0----------------------
A------9---x---9$---7$---2----- ----2---2-/---4---4--------------------
E--/--10---9---7$---5$---3----- --3-------/-5--------------------------
                                  @~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~@
@= fingerpicked not strimmed
$= sometimes he slides down quietly
Yes, I am in a box
